NTA Entrance Exams – 2020 Dates Announced

National Testing Agency announced the Entrance Exam Schedule for 2020. NTA has declared key dates for all the exams conducted by it. Like last year JEE Main will be conducted as CBT and will be arranged in two phase, in January and April month.  In January, exam will be conducted between dates 6^th to 11^th Jan 2020.  NEET (UG) – 2020 will be conducted as Pen & Paper based exam on 3^rd May 2020.

NTA also announce the schedule for other entrance exams like NEET-PG, PG Ayush Entrance Test, UGC NET, Delhi University, JNU and other exams. This year NTA will also conduct entrance tests for admission to other courses like IIFT, CSIR NET etc.

1. Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main – 2020

JEE Main exam mode will be Computer Based Test as last year and will be organized in two phases, in January (phase-1) and in April month (Phase-2). Students will be allowed to attempt both and best score from any one of them will be considered for the admission to various engineering colleges including NITs and for the appearing criteria of JEE Advance -2020 exam.

2. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) – 2020

The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG will be conducted by the NTA from 2019 onwards. This Test was being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2018. NEET (UG) is applicable for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges across India.

3. UGC-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET)-June 2020

On behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC), the National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Eligibility for Assistant Professor only or Junior Research Fellowship & Assistant Professor Both, in Indian Universities and Colleges.

Till June 2018, the CBSE conducted the NET in 84 subjects at 91 selected Cities of spread across the country. Since Dec 2018 onwards, the UGC- NET is being conducted by the NTA.
